Umai 鵜舞 (Hong Kong, CHINA) ★★★★☆

Ever since our good friend, the "bald chef" left Nishiki 錦 left year, Umai (鵜舞) has temporarily taken over as our favorite robatayaki restaurant in the city. Tonight, we were there again to enjoy some of our favorite skewers.

Before the skewers were ready, first of all some hand rolls as usual. OK.

Some sushi from the sushi bar.

Didn't realize that they also have some seasonal items on the menu including deep-fried Japanese oysters. Oishi~

Finally the main event of the evening! Skewers! These wings were just humongous...we're guessing that they could be turkey wings!? Anyways, not bad but not as good as last time we were here.

Quail eggs wrapped in the thin strips of pork. I love these despite all the cholesterol. A definite must-try here.

Stir-fried ramen noodles - Well, it didn't look all that good at first glance but it tasted awesome. Probably the second best dish of the night right behind the quail eggs (Well, almost forgot about the deep-fried oysters).

I must apologize for the quality of the pictures here. Totally forgot to bring my camera tonight and that combined with the poor lighting and of course, the constant distraction from my little nugget didn't help.....
