Mont St.Clair (Tokyo, JAPAN) ★★★☆☆

Award-winning pâtissier and chocolatier Hironobu Tsujiguchi (辻口博啟) who represented Japan on a number of occasions in the international stage, has more than a dozen different concepts nation-wise. One of his most famous concepts, Mont St. Clair, is located in Jiyūgaoka and we're here to check it out right after visiting Mont-Blanc.

The cake shop and tea salon open till 7PM daily.

As one of the most popular dessert spots in Jiyūgaoka, things are certainly going fast around here. When we got here at 5PM, there were only 5 types of pastries left for taking.

I was obviously disappointed that some of Mont St. Clair's signature cakes including their namesake Mont St.Clair (hazelnut praline, almond and coffee biscuit) and award-winning C’est la vie (White chocolate mousse cake) were already sold out. Right at the end, I had to settle for a mont blanc (again).

Underneath the chestnut cream vermicelli were sweetened chestnuts, whipped cream and some chocolate cake on the bottom (630yen).
