Elephant Grounds x The Upper House Pop-up Café (Hong Kong, CHINA) ★★★☆☆

One of Hong Kong's best coffee bars, Elephant Grounds, is currently doing a cross-over with luxury hotel The Upper House in Admiralty. From now until the end of December, Elephant Grounds will host a pop-up café at the hotel's first-floor bar. If you happen to be in the neighborhood, don't forget to drop by for a sip of their signature coffees and drinks.



I wasn't really working in the proximity this afternoon but after seeing all the Instagram pictures of Elephant Grounds' latest ice-cream sandwiches, I decided to make a special trip here.



To make things easy for us (and for them), they're offering just one flavor of ice-cream sandwich here - dark chocolate ice-cream sandwich with chunks of dark chocolates and dried fruit ($70). Hm...the pastry could have been a bit more flaky and the ice-cream itself could have been a lot more creamy.



I am walking away slightly disappointed......
